Hello, !
As many of you know, every October we celebrate ADHD Awareness Month -- a time when there is a special focus on raising awareness about ADHD! As you can see below, this year's theme is "ADHD Myths and Facts: Know the Difference."
I hope you have time to engage in some of the activities this month:
For example, ADDA, the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, is offering TADD talks, their version of TED talks. A new ten-minute talk to educate about some aspect of ADHD will be posted each day throughout the month. The link to listen or subscribe at no cost is here.
I have submitted a talk on the topic of ADHD and Intermittent Fasting and explain why it works so well for ADDers with weight challenges. Please keep an eye out for my TADD talk.

There is also an ADHD Awareness Month Video Competition with entries made by children, families, adults, and professionals. You are invited to vote once a day throughout the month for any of the short videos you really like.
I'd love it if you would consider watching and voting for my video on the topic of Intermittent Fasting. You can find that competition here.
My next Fast Forward to Success Coaching Group will have a holiday focus. It is scheduled to start October 15. We will meet virtually on eight consecutive Tuesdays. This group will focus on how to be successful on an Intermittent
Fasting plan while also enjoying the holidays with family and friends. Please reach out to me soon if you are interested in this group, so we can schedule a time to talk!
If food and eating have been challenges for you (as they have for me) and you are looking for an ADHD-friendly way to approach this important area of life, this is the group for you. It could be transformational!
Would you like to start your day with a positive thought? Subscribe to Your Daily PAT (Positive ADHD Thought)! Every weekday you’ll receive a very short
email containing a positive thought to start your day – one that you can carry through the day with you. Your Daily PAT is completely free and there is no obligation. Just visit freetobecoaching.com and click on the link to sign up. Your Daily PATs will start greeting you from your inbox the next weekday morning at
7am.
The 2019 Annual International Conference on ADHD is a three-day annual conference sponsored by the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO), the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA), and Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD). This is a wonderful place to meet your "tribe!"
The General Conference for everyone interested in ADHD will run Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, in Philadelphia. The ADHD Professionals Institute will be held on Thursday, November 7, and will feature speakers of interest to professionals working with ADHD. Find more details here.
I hope to see you there!
Enjoy this month's smorgasbord of ADHD Awareness Month activities!
Warmly,
Linda
