Hello, !
Today I'd like to share two announcements about upcoming events you might enjoy.
Every October a coalition of ADHD organizations creates Global ADHD Awareness Month. This year's ADHD Awareness Month Coalition has shared the following information which includes the opportunity to enter a video contest and create original art, among other activities:
This year’s theme is “ADHD Myths and Facts: Know the Difference” with the goal of spreading the facts, rebutting the myths and providing hope as well as help to adults and children with ADHD around the world. The ADHD Awareness Month Coalition is excited this
year to be joined by international ADHD organizations to share a common theme.
Actions to Share Your ADHD Truth
=> Back by popular demand, we are happy to announce the 3rd annual ADHD Awareness Month Video Contest! Submissions from children, adults, families and professionals will be
accepted from Thursday, August 15 through Sunday, September 15, 2019. So get out your phones or video cameras and start to share ADHD facts, your experiences, or best tips for living well with ADHD!
=> Submit original art, photos and images that represent your experience with ADHD.
=> Share your ADHD story to dispel ADHD myths with your successes, strategies, or information the world needs to know about ADHD.
We look forward to seeing what you create to help people know the difference between ADHD myths and facts!
Help us make October a great ADHD Awareness Month by sharing the information on the ADHD Awareness Month website with your family, friends and colleagues!
Lots of folks with ADHD have a difficult time regulating their eating. As a result, many of us experience challenges to our health because we are carrying around more pounds than are good for us. Among other things, our energy level is affected and our self-esteem suffers.
Diets can work for some, but for most of us they require too many executive functioning skills. And, they generally do not work long-term.
An alternative to dieting, intermittent fasting has proven to be a life changing program for many folks with ADHD-type challenges. That has certainly been the case for me and my husband, Neil! You can read more about intermittent fasting on our website here.
My next coaching group for adults engaging in intermittent fasting will begin on September 9 on Zoom. You can join us from wherever you might be in the world. We will meet for eight consecutive Mondays, 12-1:30pm Eastern Time.
A couple of weeks ago I announced that the Early Bird Special price for the group would end on August 14. Since I have not yet sent information out to as many people as I had hoped, I have decided to extend the special rate until August 31.
If you (or your family or friends) want to learn more about this transformational group program, the next step is to schedule a free 20-minute phone conversation with me through our website at the link above. I look forward to answering any questions you may have.
Warmly,
Linda
