Hello, !
So we are already into the second half of February, a short month, but with an extra day this year. Happy Leap Day on the 29th!
There are two things I'd like to bring to your attention today. First, I'd like to tell you about two books written in previous decades that I just discovered and would like to recommend. Second, I want to remind you about the ADHD Women's Palooza that starts a week from today.
The first book I'm recommending was published in 2007. I had heard of the author, another ADHD coach, but I had not read her book.
You might find it a useful addition to your personal library, or you might find it a good introduction to ADHD for someone who wants to know more about it. The maverick theme is present, but there is a great deal of helpful information even for those who do not have that particular ADHD trait. The resource website referred to in the book is no longer available, perhaps because the book was published 13 years ago, but the book stands on its own without additional resources, in
my opinion.
Another book that came up in my search and that I am also enjoying is Thom Hartmann's Adult ADHD: How to Succeed as a Hunter in a Farmer's World. Hartmann's book is even older, first written in 1994, and updated twice -- most recently in 2016. It has a special focus on succeeding with ADHD in the workplace, whether in a business you create or as an employee in someone else's business. Hartmann is well equipped to write about business. He has started more businesses
than I could count as I read the book. He is also a prolific author on many topics in addition to ADHD and is well known as a radio and TV host.
It’s Leap Year so the ADHD Women’s Palooza is ‘leaping’ back for its 5th year of information and inspiration exclusively for and about women with ADHD. Clear the week of February 24 – February 29, 2020 for an amazing collection of experts and fresh new topics.
