Hello, !
This is the fifteenth in a series of brief, daily emails I'm sending during October -- global ADHD Awareness Month. Each features a quote that relates to ADHD and
neurodiversity.
Ultimately, mindfulness gives us a profound awareness that there is beauty and mystery in us that is beyond all labels or stories we have about
ourselves and others. We grow to know deeply that no matter what our thoughts or feelings are doing in that moment, there is also an inner resource that can answer with insight and kindness. We learn to observe and discern with wisdom. We also grow to know that as we struggle with our imperfections we are nevertheless whole -- even in ADHD moments, even in this very moment.
To many people, it seems unlikely that someone with ADHD could practice mindfulness or meditation. In this book, Dr. Zylowska explains how even an adult with ADHD can, with practice, train his/her mind and thus experience an improvement in attention,
impulse control, quality of life, and much more!
Until tomorrow, Linda |
