This is the tenth in a series of brief, daily emails I'm sending during October -- global ADHD Awareness Month. Each features a quote that relates to ADHD and neurodiversity.

Today's quote is from the website of the Virgin Group, a multinational venture capital conglomerate founded by Richard Branson. It is widely known that Branson has ADHD. Here he describes the beginnings of his business enterprises.

We didn’t adhere to a well-trodden path; we ignored the guidelines and found our own path. This ‘strategy’ served us well, because we soon realised that you don't learn to walk by following rules, you learn by doing and by falling over.

An article published by Forbes in 2014 discusses Branson and other business founders with ADHD. The article is called ADHD: The Entrepreneur's Superpower. ADHD often doesn't feel like a superpower, but when someone with ADHD is placed in a stimulating environment that supports them in areas of challenge, amazing things can happen!
